Throughout the past year or so, spending time with one another has changed a lot. The way people travel and relax in their free time looks very different in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many businesses have felt the brunt of these changes, but an entrepreneur in the lifestyle management sector has adapted to make his services even better for clients.
Managing lifestyles in any situation
HCT CEO Hayes Thomas has built his business around helping people manage their lives. Recently, he has shifted his business model to meet new needs of his clients to provide the best assistance possible. He works to manage lifestyles for hundreds of high profile clients, handling anything from transportation arrangements, to reservations for night clubs and restaurants.
But like many other businesses, the concierge industry has suffered from the lack of face-to-face social interactions. The hospitality sector is built on people interacting in close proximity, so adapting to change was necessary to stay afloat. “HCT in particular pivoted very quickly throughout the pandemic. In any business, it’s important to be agile and move with the market,” Hayes said.
Hayes switched gears and started providing clients with different personalized services. They could still have a social life and stay safe through private dining experiences at home with personal chefs. Hayes also implemented food delivery services from private chefs around the world, private intimate parties, and even launched virtual reality experiences. So instead of trying to convince clients that they needed to use his traditional services, Hayes provided new options for them.
Goal of helping people
After an injury ended Hayes’ football career, he started focusing on filling a need he saw amongst friends and colleagues. He noticed a lot of them couldn’t get access to the best night clubs or the best tables. So his goal was to share his access with others and alleviate the stress of solidifying plans.
“I soon realised high net-worth individuals want access, but they don’t want any stress or inconvenience in the pursuit of said access,” Hayes said. “I took the stress and inconvenience on my shoulders to ensure the best deals and found out a unique way to monetise it.”
He’s worked hard to share access with people close to him, and build a successful business in the process.
Expanding services to create a one stop shop
To continue helping his clients with everything they might need, Hayes Thomas will be launching HCT Finance in 2022. This service will ensure users can minimize the amount of sites they use in their everyday lives. Managing your life will be in one convenient place. Users can manage everything from lifestyle needs, to finances, making it the world’s first FinTech application of its kind. Clients can make arrangements for hotels, restaurants, and travel, as well as handle banking without having to use several different sources.
