Surrounded by stress in the middle of two countries named Ukraine and Russia, the Defense Secretary of US Austin has planned to fly to 3 places to meet government and military officials. 15th February 2022 is when Austin will depart for Poland, Belgium, and Lithuania.
In Belgium, the discussion with the NATO and allied defense representatives will revolve around defense system progress in Russia and Ukraine. He will emphasize how the pact is advancing on defense, all set to face future hurdles. Another point of talk would be highlighting the promises in Article 5 made by the US.
According to a US release by the Defense Department, Poland’s president and Poland’s defense minister will have a word with Austin on security and strengthen the bond with America and Poland, which is a significant factor in meeting the pressures of security issues. He will explore Powidz Air Base and observe US and Poland troops and the services provided.
To toughen the relationship with the armed forces of Lithuania and to reassure US support Austin will see Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte, Gitanas Caused the Lithuania President, and the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania. He will also have an official meeting with the members of the US located in Lithuania.
A frequent increase in the number of troops around the border gives rise to the suspicion of Russia attacking Ukraine. However, this news is being denied by Russia.
