Recently here at The Hiltonian, we got the opportunity to interview Davidskyyy. It was GREAT and here’s how it went.
Who are you?
I am David Skyyy a music artist from Chicago, looking to make an impact and add something new to the game.
How long you been doing music?
I’ve been making music for a long time. I can’t put an exact year to date time frame, but what I can say is over the pass 2 years I’ve been all in.
What got you into music?
My mom sings and is a choir director. Both my parent loves music and played it a lot growing up. I started playing instruments when I was young such as the drums, bass guitar, and Frenchorn, and it kind of went from there.
Who inspires you to continue?
I love it. It inspires me. It makes me happy and does the same for other people. Bringing people together is a joy of mines and music is one of the best ways of doing that.
Who’s your favorite artist?
You would have to put an ‘s’ on that one. I would say Tupac, Lauren Hill, Prince, TI, Lil Wayne, etc..
What advice would you give to somebody who tells you that their looking to become a musician? Don’t wait for the perfect time. Don’t be scared to take a chance and always work on your craft like a good athlete would work on every aspect of his/her game
Are you working on any projects now?
Yes, I am. I’m excited because I’m really taking my time with this one. It’s like a school presentation and I’m trying to get a A+
