Joe Biden has said to US companies to work on cyber security strictly. The reason for doing so is the prevailing situation in Russia and Ukraine. There are chances of Russian cyber attacks. Thus more demand for skilled and talented people in the cyber security market has peaked.
According to the CyberSeek data, about one million seats are full of employees working in cyber security. But around 600000 seats are waiting for the employees. This is alarming because the companies require people who know technical skills and respond to cyber threats quickly. But finding them is not a piece of cake. However, there is a significant need is created in the USA for efficient people who can develop software, analyze cybercrimes, and find out better ways to deal with this issue.
The primary issue regarding the ease of cyber crime is the internet use by people from different places or homes . Thus increasing the risk of ransomware attacks everywhere. Moreover, Max Shuftan said that most agencies could not afford highly paid workers, so the scarcity of workers in cyber security is an issue in a small organization.
Few efforts have to be made to overcome this shortage, introducing different cybersecurity courses and training. Though these won’t stop the risk of cybercrime entirely, something is better than nothing.
