Islamabad, 14 May 2022: The US Government is pleased to collaborate with Cannes-nominated documentary filmmaker Sarmad Khoosat and all companies on “Manzil,” a hit song advocating COVD-19 immunizations and booster doses.
The song and video compliment the US state’s donation of over 61 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Pakistan thus far and highlight Pakistan’s problems and triumphs in reacting to COVID-19, urging people to get vaccinated entirely.
Launching
The US Embassy in Islamabad collaborated to create a new song advocating Covid-19. The Minister Secretary for Public Service and Administration at the US Embassy noted during the official launch of the music video, “The more everybody is completely vaccinated, including booster doses, the healthier the entire globe is.” Throughout our 75-year diplomatic relationship, the United States has already been delighted to collaborate with Pakistan. We are committed to public health, and we were happy to work with such outstanding producers, musicians, and performers to create this wonderful musical message to encourage COVID-19 immunization.
In addition to famed filmmaker Sarmad Khoosat, the production also featured lyricist and writer Mohammad Hanif and producers and composer Shatrughan Rana, Varqa Faraid, Nimra Gilani, and Ali Hamdani. World acclaimed singer Atif Aslam and Coke Studio superstar 23-year – old Gill performed vocals. The character in the music video is an acclaimed performer and activist, Sarwat Gilani.
