Lahore Qalandars got a ruling success over Karachi Kings because of a fantabulous century by Fakhar Zaman. Gaudy batter Fakhar Zaman’s 106-run knock led to the defeat of Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) match played on Sunday. The left-hander batsman scored 106 runs off 60 balls only, and the century was adorned with 12 fours and four sixes, which immensely helped Lahore Qalandars to chase the target of 171.
Lahore Qalandars won the toss, and their captain Shaheen Afridi chose to field first. Hence Karachi Kings had to bat first. Qalandars showed a fantastic performance in fielding and bowling and confined the Karachi kings to 170 runs. Lahore Qalandars chased down the target of 171-runs in 19.4 overs. Prior, Karachi Kings scored 170 runs in 20 overs, facing the loss of seven wickets.
The opening batsman of Karachi Kings opener Sharjeel Khan crushed a zapping 39-ball 60 with eight fours and three sixes to give his team a substantial lead opening of 84 runs in 10.1 overs with Babar Azam, while Babar Azam made 41 runs off 33 balls. Mohammad Hafeez got the wicket of Sharjeel Khan on his first ball in the 10th over. After taking this crucial wicket, Lahore Qalandars got the grip of the match which led to their victory against Karachi Kings.
