The HBL 7th Pakistan Super League (PSL) Preparations are in full swing here at the iconic National Stadium, Karachi. The inaugurating ceremony is supposed to be a short but sparkling event on Thursday, 27 January 2022. Karachi Kings will face reigning champs Multan Sultan in the initial match at their home ground, who were the 2020 winning team of Pakistan Super League.
Legendary singer Atif Aslam has sung the official PSL 7 anthem and amazing co-singer Aima Baig. Both singers are supposed to give a live performance at the opening ceremony of PSL 7, while some other foreign paragliders will also be there to show their stunts and increase the beauty of the event.
The stage for the opening ceremony has been arranged with the official slogan ‘#LevelHai.’ Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Ramiz Raja, will give a speech at the ceremony, and an inauguration video by Prime Minister Imran Khan will also be played at the event. Babar Azam, having the record for maximum T20I wins as captain in 2021, will be the captain of Karachi Kings. Mohammad Rizwan, being the first batsman to score 1,000 T20I in a year, will be leading the Multan Sultans.
Babar Azam showed a lot of excitement at being a captain of Karachi Kings. He said that he is looking forward to captaining a team for the first time in HBL PSL. He also mentioned that Multan Sultans are expected to give them a tough contest. They will also demonstrate competitive cricket this season, and the first match would be very interesting for cricket lovers.
