Italian beaches – one of the Mediterranean’s best beaches to sprawl in summer time, to have freshly caught fish.
But from summer 2024, your destination vacation, Italian beaches would be enforced by some new rules.
The change in law is gradually moving through the Italian parliament.
The new rules being enforced from 31st December 2023, the beach club renting, the bars and the restaurants at the beach and the dolce vita lifestyle is at risk.
There are above 30,000 small businesses at the beach, being operated by small families are at risk.
According to the new law, these private owners would not get the chance to renew their license for beach businesses, rather they would have to compete against the interested parties from the European Union – which could include Big Businesses.
As small businesses won’t be able to compete against these big investors and they would have to give up.
The prices at the beach for vacation could also increase as a result.
Montechiaro, a owner at the beach, the business was started by his grandfather, came back from Australia to take this business further but now since this situation he gets upset and he said, “I’d known this business would take away from me i would never come back from Australia.”
businessmen there are saying that when they bought a piece of land at the beach they were told that this is a 10-year plan till 2033 and now the government is taking it back before 10 year and they have no hope of compensation with respect to their investments.
Businessmen are asking to at least repay them what they have paid.
