We had the opportunity to sit down and do an interview with David Payne Jr. This is how it went!
- How old are you?
- “I’m 25 years old.”
What got you into basketball?
“I started when I was in 6th grade. My dad taught me how to play. I fell in love with the sport instantly. This sport has taken me far, from playing in college to playing for Team USA. Over the years basketball has become my outlet whenever I’m going through hard times, and I plan on taking it as far as I can.”
What inspires you to be on social media?
“The connections. The way it brings people from all different walks of life together. Social media can be a beautiful thing when it’s not used negatively. I’m hoping I can continue growing so I can keep spreading positivity. I’d love to showcase my skills against other basketball creators too. All in due time.”
What inspired you to start using TikTok?
“My best friend Deven Stover was huge on Tiktok! He went by Houdini J on there. He kinda pushed me to get into it just for fun and eventually it was really fun being creative and making connections with so many people. Here I am today, still growing hoping to be everyone’s favorite content creator.”
Anything else you’d like your fans to know?
“To everyone that’s has supported me so far, I really appreciate you! To me, this is just the beginning I have a lot planned including a YouTube, and I love for everyone to continue with me on my journey! As always though spread love, keep your head up and keep pushing towards your goals. ~ dav out”
