1. Stay near the beach
The main reason for beach lovers to stay on Koh Samui are the multitude of Koh Samui villas near the beach. You can have whatever you like, whether it be a six bedroom luxury Villa for the entire family, complete with a private pool, chef, massages, billiards room or anything you can imagine. If you’re travelling to getaway, then a two bedroom private Villa with an ocean view is the ideal choice. Either way you choose or anything in between, there is something for everyone just steps from the beach. Join in on a beach party or have some fantastic seafood at a restaurant with your toes in the sand.

2. Peaceful island surroundings
Koh Samui, a sanctuary of calm and just a short flight away from the busy capital. A couple beaches especially standout when hunting for the perfect relaxation spot. Samrong Beach and Thongson Bay twin beaches are undoubtedly one of the best places to chill away from it all on the island. These are not the popular destinations for tourists, so don’t expect fancy drinks and lounge chairs as far as the eye can see. These beaches are still very wild. Fortunately they have kept their natural and untamed qualities. There is not much to do in the area around the beach, it really ensures you will be able to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature. This makes it a perfect place for those in search of a calm and relaxing experience.

3. Healthy food, healthy beach
If you come to Thailand in search of healthy food, you won’t be disappointed. First, start with the world famous seafood, especially on the beaches in Samui, where the local fishing people catch it and sell it fresh. Restaurants buy most of it and serve it up that day. Most likely the fish and prawns you had for dinner were caught just that morning. Samui also offers vegetarian, vegan, paleo, and a wide range of choices for the ethical and health-conscious humans looking to eat right.

4. So many beaches!
Coming to Koh Samui in search of beaches might be overwhelming but certainly not disappointing. One beach that stands out above many others is Mae nam, a beach that is very little known by tourists. On the north shore of the island it is absolutely stunning. Just inland off the beach is the cute village of Mae nam. It hosts a Market every morning and food stalls all day long.
One of the best things about Thailand is the twenty four hour street food where you can get cheap and delicious Thai food. Mae nam Beach has a wilder, more preserved flair. It is a quiet more local place where lush vegetation like bird of paradise and coconut palms line the white sandy beaches. It will make you forget about everything else.

5. Visit the locals
The last recommendation for those that love life on the beach is Thong Takian Beach or locally known as the Silver Beach. It is a tiny beach shrouded by tall jutty cliffs. A lot less touristy but still quite popular. Snorkelling, diving and turtle watching are some fun things to do here. Colourful coral and fish will amaze even the most seasoned beachgoer.
