Louise Jones had been claiming disability benefits in the United Kingdom while enjoying her life in Alicante, Spain, but for no more.
She was a benefit cheat who claimed thousands of pounds worth of property while running a property business in Spain. She has now finally got caught and is forced to repay all the money she took in terms of disability benefits and interest. Her crime was hooked after her Facebook post about the Costa Blanca lifestyle in Alicante.
She also posted a picture on social media claiming to manage his Spanish property business. The image was about her engagement and wedding.
She finally got caught in 2019 and was charged with a six-month jail sentence that was suspended, but she remained in the prosecution under the criminal acts proceedings.
She was finally ordered to repay the amount of £92,500, that is the amount of her share from her late mother’s home, and it also includes the amount that she received in terms of the divorce settlement. She was also ordered to pay the amount of £7,500 in terms of interest by judge Timothy Rose.
Jones claimed an amount of £46,867.14 with her disability and housing benefits frauds, and she also claimed £33,000 in terms of severe disability allowance. Investigations revealed that she spent most of her year living abroad and declared herself Louise McHardy, managing director of McHardy Spanish Properties.
