Spoiler warning: this review covers the full events of Dragon Ball Super manga chapter 60 from the Galactic Patrol Prisoner (Moro) arc.
The Moro arc of the Dragon Ball Super manga, written by Akira Toriyama and illustrated by Toyotarou, kept building towards a huge clash on Earth. Chapter 60 put Goku’s Ultra Instinct Sign to the test against Moro, while Vegeta finished his training on the planet Yardrat. Here is a full breakdown of what happened.
Goku Fights Moro at Full Power
Goku returns to Earth and immediately goes all out with Ultra Instinct Sign. Moro, who has grown far stronger after draining the life energy of entire planets, answers with everything he has. The two trade blows evenly, each pushing the other back, until Moro blasts Goku with a powerful energy attack. From afar, Merus of the Galactic Patrol and Whis watch the fight and wonder how long Goku can maintain such a draining form.
Vegeta’s Training on Yardrat
Meanwhile, Vegeta has been learning special techniques from the Yardrat elder Pybara. When he asks to be sent back to Earth with Instant Transmission, Pybara initially refuses because he is not allowed to use it away from his home planet. To get back on his own, Vegeta decides to learn the technique himself, and Pybara is impressed by how quickly he picks it up.
Goku Runs Out of Steam
Back on Earth, the fight turns against Goku. His clothes are torn, his stamina is fading, and eventually he drops out of Ultra Instinct altogether. Android 17 and Android 18 step in to pull him free from Moro’s grip and take over the fight for a while.
Vegeta Arrives
Once Goku returns to his base form, his ki becomes easy to sense again. Vegeta locks onto it, says goodbye to Pybara, and uses his new Instant Transmission to appear right beside Goku. Goku is stunned, and Vegeta confidently tells him that he has learned something that could be even more useful than Ultra Instinct. The chapter ends on that cliffhanger.
What It Set Up
Chapter 60 was a classic Dragon Ball turning point: Goku hits his limit, and Vegeta steps in with a brand-new trick. It set the stage for Vegeta’s showdown with Moro in the chapters that followed, where his Yardrat training proved crucial.
