August 2022, Dallas, Texas. Trevion Adams, known as Trejavu, is a musical artist born and raised in Dallas, with influences from the Bossier City, Louisiana area. Dedicated to his craft and constantly creating, he is building a reputation for honest, message-driven music.
New music with a message
“I’m working on an EP called ARIBADA EP,” he says. “It means I’m showing the world my authentic self.” His single “Drugs Don’t Work No More” is available on all major platforms. “It’s what the world needs. It’s not just a song, it’s a message, so let’s spread it.”
Outspoken, trustworthy and persistent, Trejavu stays focused on his journey, even when he feels misunderstood, and he performs regularly at shows around the city.
Faith and loss as inspiration
Trejavu draws strength from his faith and from the memory of his late wife, who passed away in January 2022. “God blessing me and waking me up every morning pushes me to achieve my goals,” he says. “My wife lives through me, and she is my biggest inspiration. Stay prayed up, keep the Lord in your heart and mind, and spread love to others.”
Where are you from?
“Dallas, Texas, where I was born and raised. It’s home, and it’s where I learn and grow.”
Three qualities that describe you?
“Outspoken, because I want to be a voice for the people. Trustworthy, because I care about the next person and try to spread love one person at a time. And perseverance, because I always look for the next goal. I was built for greatness.”
Who has influenced you most?
“My grandparents, Debra and Floyd Adams. They keep me positive and help me see the good side of things. And my wife, who I knew since we were kids. She kept me on my toes and helped me find my self-worth. I’m grateful for her.”
His message
“You can do anything in this life. God built our spirit to already have everything we need to be successful. It’s about knowing your self-worth: speak it, believe it, receive it. And know the difference between hard work and just putting in hours.”
