JULY 2022- DALLAS, TEXAS- Jeremy Boldon Jr, also known as ‘Lonely Boyirl’, is an independent singer, songwriter and genre bending artist who was raised in Glenn Heights, Texas and now resides in Dallas, Texas. He keeps consistent with his work and has a diverse range of sounds he makes. Lonely Boyirl has set his sights on accomplishing his dreams and his goals are only expanding. “Well, I just released my 2nd EP “The Boy in Your Dreams,” which came out today July 15th 2022.
It’s a twelve-song project that have all the vibes you need and I’m honestly excited to start working on bringing some music videos to life. I really adore music videos in general because I love showcasing my creativity through videos as well.” With a bright future ahead, the diverse artist is resilient with his work, and motivated in the way he goes about making content. Lonely Boyirl is well respected with the content he produces. “I am inspired by my favorite artist to keep pursuing my musical endeavors. Seeing where they started from and where they are at now really gives me the motivation I need to keep striving for greatness. I really love what I do as a musician and if I can inspire at least one person, I’m satisfied.”
Give three qualities that describe you:
One quality about me is that I’m very persistent when it comes to getting things done. I always find a way to make things work for me. Another quality that describes me is that I am very creative when it comes to my music and I am the hardest worker you will ever meet. Lastly, I have the tendency to be stubborn but in a good way. I know what I want as an artist and how I want things to go.
How have you overcome struggles to be where you are at now?
I overcame my struggles by being persistent and consistent in my work. I find that nothing comes easy and you have to work with what you got to get where you want to go.
What piece of advice you want others to take back from the work you display?
As a business owner, what are some obstacles have you had to overcome to get where you are at?
As a musician I had to stop thinking that opportunities were going to fall out of the sky. I stop looking for handouts and put in the work myself. I was always told that cant nobody do what you can do for yourself and so I had to build my own table as an artist, book my own studio sessions and plan out my out my own shoots and music videos. Although it’s still a challenge sometimes, I still seem to find a way for my Art to work for me.
What do you have coming up right now that you want others to know about?
I have a tour coming up with Sofar sounds performing at a couple shows around the Dallas, Houston and Austin areas. I will be singing some songs from the EP I just released
Who were the most influential people in your life?
The Most influential People in my life are my brothers and sisters. Watching them grow into the people they are meant to be is truly heartwarming and I will never take that for granted. I love them for being themselves because it helps me remain grounded in where I’m from.
As a result of the outbreak of COVID-19, some artists had considerable difficulties in 2021; varied laws established at the local and federal levels prevented a large number of events with large crowds, including concerts and festivals, from taking place. Lonely Boyirl’s concentration remained focused and is now on continuing to pursue his business and music profession in order to build his already strong foundation even further than it is already.
Lonely Boyirl gives motivation and has his sights set on the prize. “The advice I would give is to always be yourself no matter any circumstances. Always Have integrity and to stay true to yourself. Life has a funny way of making you lose yourself in all the things that go on in the world but never let it change who you are. .” In the audience, he is motivated at the thought of making a difference not just in his neighborhood, but also in the rest of the community.
