Rapper and entertainment executive Misty Blanco, CEO of The Misty TV Firm Corporation, has launched a national talent search to find opening acts for her eight-state tour, “The Misty TV Blaque Okane Rockfest Tour 2022”. The search is also being filmed as a reality show for The Misty TV Firm’s “Greatest Show on Earth”.

About Misty Blanco
Misty Blanco first became known as “Mysterious” on MTV’s Making the Band, where she made it from a pool of 75,000 contestants to the final 12. She later moved into the business side of music. Among her projects, she produced a Rock the Vote music showcase at Richmond, Virginia’s Robinson Theater, featuring artists who had gone through her Misty TV music bootcamp in Petersburg.
The project has received support from local officials, including former Petersburg mayor and councilmember Howard Myers and Virginia State Senator Joe Morrissey. A press conference for the tour was held at Petersburg’s historic Ragland Mansion, the Virginia State University property known from BET’s College Hill.
The Auditions
Private auditions took place at The 63Thirty5 club and restaurant in Richmond, Virginia. Performers faced intense rehearsals and critiques from the Misty TV panel of judges, including JaVonni Brustow, Kennisha Scott and Donovan Ford. Misty Blanco’s manager, Jojo Capone, also helped assess the acts.
One standout was Lil Uddie from East Baltimore, who arrived with his nephew Jamo, a friend and business manager Rocky Morris to compete for a slot. Contestants took on Misty Blanco’s “Clenched Teeth Challenge” alongside performers such as Kenya Amir and Super Defari. From more than 300 acts, the field was narrowed to a final four.
