What is “Melodic Bop”?
According to the artist, Melodic Bop blends theatrical music, bebop jazz, classic rock and pop, with lyrics delivered in a melodic, almost sung style. She presents herself as one of the few women to have created her own genre and as “The Theatrical Blaquanese Rockstar”.
Misty Blanco describes herself as an Asiatic woman in the music industry who wants to show that female artists can be far more than accessories in a male-dominated business. Themes of the divine feminine and self-acceptance run through her upcoming album, Interviews With A Goat.
